Blog Post 21.

I was walking along the coast when a fine sprinkle began to fall. This made me feel excited. The thing is, I enjoy walking in the rain, especially near the coast. Rain makes the point where the curvature of the Earth forces the sky and sea to meet- some call it the horizon- appear differently than usual.

After two minutes the sprinkle hadn’t stopped, an indication that it would instead progress into something more. As if in answer to this suspicion, the sprinkles turned to drops and the gentle sea breeze turned to a marine wind.

la acción de gracias

Blog Post 20.

Thanksgiving. In honor of Thanksgiving Day in the USA, I want to write about our little cena de gracias here in Cádiz.

The food: is it even thanksgiving if you aren’t in excruciating pain after the meal? I think not- this we accomplished, and we certainly made up for the lack of food Paris treated us to last weekend.

j’adore paris

Blog Post 19.

I love Paris. The past weekend, I went to Paris with my abroad program. It was awesome: partly because I got to go with the exceptional people in my program, partly because I got to see more of Nathan there and entirely because, well, it’s Paris.

I was a little concerned that it would be overrated, but was pleasantly surprised by just how much I loved being there. I mean really loved being there.

i went to granada alone

Blog Post 16.

It was awesome. I got to do whatever I felt like doing for about 2 days. I didn’t have to wait for anyone. I didn’t have to put anyone through hours of gluten free restaurant searching. I took many photos and hung out with many plants. I walked around parks and read during meals.

I had one concrete goal in visiting Granada: to see the Alhambra. And boy, did I see it.
