i like outer space

Blog Post 47.

I have long been fascinated by outer space. This fascination has drawn me to investigate different facets of human interaction with outer space and with one another in relation to our activities in outer space. Something that makes sense to me is that this fascination has also led to a place wherein it has become entangled with my deep passion for justice.

The University of Denver has a fantastic Business Law department from which I am about to graduate with a minor in Business Ethics and Legal Studies. Unfortunately, however, this department does not offer a course in Space Law. This fact, coupled with my (soon to be) degree in International Business meant that I was in a great place to make a case for doing an independent study course on the subject in my final quarter at the university.

The following is the product of that independent study course:

Space Law for the Future and Case Study

As a warning, this paper is quite long and dry, particularly if the subject does not interest you. I might recommend that a reader skip to the end (page 19) for a short and slightly more lively case study on India’s Anti-satellite test that caused some beef in the international community.

Happy learning, and live long and prosper.
